Shipping & Tax details

Below, we’ve outlined details of what you can expect with shipping & taxes when ordering from Tavo Pet Direct.


Standard Shipping is FREE for all Tavo Pet Direct orders.


Most orders are shipped via FedEx Ground from our warehouse in Washington State. 


You should receive your order within 10 business days following your order confirmation. We do not offer weekend deliveries. If you have a rural zip code, please allow up to an additional two days.


For two-day shipping, orders must be placed by 2 p.m. EST to ship that day. All other orders will be processed the following business day.


Orders placed after 2 p.m. EST Monday through Thursday and 11:59 p.m. EST Friday through Sunday will be processed the following business day. Therefore, an order placed with 2-day shipping that ships on a Thursday would be delivered on the following Monday. 


Please note: Two-day shipping may be impacted by weather related or other uncontrollable circumstances. Therefore, it is always a good idea to check with FedEx for alerts and areas impacted.   

Tavo Pet observes the following US holiday calendar:


  • New Year's Eve
  • New Year's Day
  • MLK Jr. Day
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day
  • Juneteenth
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day and the Friday following.
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day


Orders placed on these days will ship the following non-holiday business day.

Where does Tavo Pet ship?

We ship to all 50 states. 


Our site does NOT process orders shipping to US territories, international addresses, or P.O. boxes.


Please note: We ship our items FedEx and do not ship to an APO, AE or addresses outside the U.S.

Editing your order

Should you for some reason need to edit your order before it has shipped, you can do so by calling our consumer service team at 1.888.912.0375 or by submitting an online request to Tavo Pet Consumer Service.

Tax specifics

Tavo Pet charges the appropriate state tax based on the delivery address of your order. Where required, tax will also be applied to the shipping and handling charges. The sales tax displayed at checkout is the final tax applied.

What does this limited warranty cover?


Tavo Pet Essentials warrants that during the 2-year limited warranty period described below, its pet carriers, accessories, and gear will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is not transferable, and it is the exclusive remedy for the purchaser of a Tavo product.


How long does Tavo’s warranty last?


All our pet carriers, accessories, and gear are covered by this 2-year limited warranty, starting from the date that you purchased the product. This warranty expires if the purchaser of the product sells or otherwise transfers the product to a third party.


What is Tavo’s commitment?


Tavo will, in its sole election, either replace any defective item or any malfunctioning part with the same or a similar item/part, or refund to you the amount that you paid for the item.


What does Tavo’s limited warranty not cover?


  • Any problem caused by misuse or abuse of the product, including, but not limited to, the failure to properly maintain, store, or clean the product.
  • Any problem resulting from improperly modifying the product.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused to the product by pollution, sunlight, or other environmental conditions such as mold, dirt, mildew, or exposure to harmful chemicals.
  • Consequential and incidental damages are not recoverable under this limited warranty.  Some states do not allow an exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.
  • Items purchased or gifted through a non-retailer third party or items gifted in used condition will not be warranted.
  • Products involved in an accident resulting in damage and/or losses.
  • Opinion dissatisfaction pertaining to functionality, features, or aesthetics.
  • This warranty is only valid for goods returned in the original country of purchase.


How to proceed with warranty claim:


Simply send an email to and include the following information:

  • A brief description of the problem along with a photo or video of the issue.
  • Photo of the serial label.
  • A copy of your item receipt, including date of purchase, is required.
  • Include your name, phone number and shipping address.
