Jani International Pte. Ltd. (“we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to ensuring that your personal data is protected and that we meet our responsibilities under data protection and privacy law. This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) sets out how we use and protect any personal data that you give us when you use this website. By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Notice, and have agreed and consented to the collection, use, disclosure and/or processing of your personal data by us as described in this Notice. If you do not agree with any terms of this Notice, please do not use or access this website.

1. How we collect personal data from you
We may collect personal data about you from various sources in three primary ways:
- You Give Us Personal Data: We collect data from you when you submit it to us through our website, for example when you seek to register your products, sign up for newsletters or marketing offers, or contact us with a request or query.
- We Collect Personal Data Automatically: We automatically collect certain types of data when you visit our website or purchase our products. For example, we automatically collect internet or other electronic network activity data when you use our website as otherwise described in this Notice.

2. What we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data about you:

- Product information (where you choose to register your purchase of a product with us), including model number, model name, serial number, date of purchase and date of manufacture;

- IP-address;

- User-agent;
- Operating system of device in use;
- Geolocation Data; and
- Inferences such as your preferences and interests for use in creating a consumer profile.
In addition to the above-mentioned data, when you use our website, cookies and so called HTML5 storage objects may be placed on your computer’s hard drive to the extent that you provide your consent to such cookies via the cookie-banner, which is displayed when visiting our website. Cookies and storage objects are small files that provide certain information to us and certain third parties. They serve the purpose of making our website services function, and making them more user friendly, more effective, tailored to your needs, and help us analyse website usage.

3. Why we collect personal data
We use personal data that we collect about you for the following purposes:
- To handle and process orders, payments and returns placed using our website (e.g. verifying and carrying out payment transactions, arranging for delivery of your purchases, updating you on status of your purchases and providing you with customer support);
- To register your product where you request us to do so, so that we can provide you with the latest information on your specific product;

We will only use personal data when the law allows us to (i.e., where we have obtained your consent or where the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 or any other written law in Singapore requires or authorises us to without your consent). The following are some common circumstances where we may use your personal data without your consent:
- Where it is in our legitimate interests (or those of a third party such as a local distribution partner) and our legitimate interests (or those of the third party) outweigh any adverse effect on you; or
- Where it is necessary for any investigation or proceedings.
In some circumstances, we may ask for your express consent to use your personal data for a specific purpose. In particular, we will obtain your consent before we send you any email marketing, including newsletters, personalised offers and advertisements which we think might interest you.
You may unsubscribe from our email communications by following the instructions in any email that we send you, or you can withdraw your consent and request us to remove your personal data at any time by emailing us at dpo@janicompany.com.
4. How long do we store personal data?
Your personal data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected. The criteria we use to determine the retention period of personal data are: (i) the respective statutory retention period; (ii) our contractual and/or business relationships with you; (iii) (potential) disputes; and (iv) any guidelines issued by relevant regulators. For example, due to commercial and tax regulations, we are obliged to save your address, payment data as far as processed by us, and data related to your order for a certain period of time.
However, we may continue to store your data after the appropriate retention periods expire if necessary for the fulfilment of a contract, the initiation of a contract or to protect or defend our position or that of a third party.
You may request erasure of your personal data by contacting us as indicated below in the Your Privacy Rights section below.
5. Personal data shared with third parties
Based on the purposes detailed in the above section “Why We Collect Personal Data,” your data may be passed on to the following categories of recipients who may be located outside Singapore:
- our affiliated companies and distribution partners, depending on your location;
- service providers, e.g. for the provision and hosting of the website, provision of delivery services to you, processing of payments from you and provision of customised and tailored services to you;
- potential purchasers as part of a sale, merger or acquisition, or other transfer of all or part of our assets including as part of a bankruptcy proceeding;
- our professional advisors, lawyers, accountants and auditors;
- governmental or regulatory authorities, pursuant to a court order, or other legal process or as otherwise required or requested by law, regulation, or government authority programmes, or to protect our rights or the rights or safety of third parties; and
- any recipient to whom you have consented or as otherwise disclosed at the time of data collection or sharing
6. Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our website, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any data which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this Notice. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy policy or notice applicable to the other websites.
7. Your privacy rights
Under privacy laws, you have following rights regarding your personal data:
- To request access to the personal data we hold about you within a year before the request;
- To request that we correct any error or omission in your personal data;
- Under certain circumstances and subject to the relevant laws in force from time to time, to ask us to port personal data about you that you have provided to us to you or to a third party in a commonly used machine-readable format; and/or
- Where we previously obtained your consent to process your personal data, to withdraw consent to processing your personal data.

We will respond to your access and correct requests as soon as reasonably possible. Should we not be able to respond to your access and correction request within 30 days after receiving your request, we will inform you in writing within 30 days of the time by which we will be able to respond to your request. If we are unable to provide you with any personal data or to make a correction requested by you, we shall generally inform you of the reasons why we are unable to do so (except where we are not required to do so under the applicable laws).
Upon receipt of your request to withdraw your consent, we may require a reasonable period of time to process and respond to your request. Whilst we respect your decision to withdraw your consent, please note that depending on the nature and scope of your request, we may not be in a position to continue providing access to our website or services to you. We will, in such circumstances, notify you before completing the processing of your request. Please also note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue to collecting, using, disclosing or processing your personal data where such collection, use, disclosure, and processing without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws.
